It's Friday and I'm ready for Sunday

This has been a pretty good week. Last Sunday was just awesome - the service was great and I felt pretty good. This week I have gone to radiation every day. Yesterday I went for my weekly appointment with my oncologist and was surprised that my white blood count had bottomed out, so I have to watch being around people - specially sick ones. Mt immune system is very weak, a matter of fact I have to go in for shots every day, including Saturday and Sunday, for the next 5 days. But I feel pretty good and am looking forward to Sunday. I have found some true inner strength. When I have been weak or in pain still praising the Lord - I refuse to let this take away my praise. I am constantly told of people that are praying for me - can I tell you - "Prayer Works" - I feel it. Thank-you again for your cards, prayer, and unconditional love!!!
Your Pastor

Pastor, I'm glad you're feeling a little better. My kids and I have been praying for you and your family. We've also been praying for Sherry and her family with the loss of her brother. Even though we may not show it a whole bunch, we really care about you and are constantly keeping the needs of our church in prayer. One thing I do do, (not doo doo) (hee hee), is be a constant prayer warrior. My extended family are going through some serious trials as well, and we always keep the prayer chain going. I even have them praying for your needs as well. Anyway, lots of love and well meaning thoughs are being sent your way. Enjoy, and take care. Love, Tracy and Family

PS. I remember in the "Naturally" class, you taught that in order to be salt, we had to get close to others to flavor, so I'm working on that. Here's a little salt (and pepper) coming your way.

Dear Eric,
Just checking in every few days to see how you are doing. I was so glad you had a good week. Did you feel your ears burning a few weeks ago? I was at Terry Goetting's father's funeral and talking to all the Tiptons. We were remembering the good times we had. Sharon and I were remembering how she taught me how to light "natural gas" on a youth trip! Seriously, we had many wonderful memories with you and you had an impact on all of our lives. I will always be grateful that you were there for us when Becky was born early and almost died. I wish we lived closer so we could be there for you. But, we can pray and we are doing that constantly. I listened for a little while to one of your sermons online the other day. You can still preach even at your "advanced age"! I know you are ministering and touching people there just as you did in St. Louis. I can tell you are standing strong and trusting God through this difficult time. Know that we are praying for you here and believing with you for a miracle. Love, Cathy Orr

Hi Pastor, there are no words to describe my feelings/thoughts about what has recently hit your family. I am so sorry for Mrs. Sherry's lost. I thank God for maintaining your strength and faith. I learned A LOT during my tour in Mia from Sunset but what stands out the most is your family. Since day one I have witnessed miracle after miracle within your family. I know God has His hands around your family and though trials come I have always witnessed you & Mrs. Sherry stand your ground. I pray for the grace, peace and strength that ONLY comes from the man above over your family. PLEASE take it easy and receive ALL that God sends your way to ease this burden. I KNOW that you are a man of faith and I know that GOD is in control so please when those "difficult" moments come, hold fast and remember He has seen through..the list is endless! ;o))
Love, your long-lost step-daughter in Hawaii..
