Well, here is the picture of what a bald preacher looks like. I had Sherry stand in with me to give the picture a little class. Bald is beautiful. Love you all! Pastor

You know Eric, the reality is that you didn't have a whole lot of hair to lose :) You still look like your handsome self and Sherry looks beautiful - honestly she didn't age at all over the last 25 years! I wish I could be there to give you both a big hug. You are facing this new mission field with courage and keeping your sense of humor. We're proud of you in St. Louis and praying lots. We love you, Cathy and Joe Orr

Hey Pastor Eric! I visit this website often just to see if anything new is happening with you and your church. When I saw the picture and your hair was gone, I just thought there was a contest and you lost and you had to shave your head. I remember the contests we had when you were our youth pastor. I was shocked to hear of what you are having to go through.

I love you and Sherry so very much. I still talk of you so often and the impact you both had on my life. I tell my 16 year old many things that I was told by you at that age. You probably can't even image the young people that you did impact. I remember how devasated I was when you all had to move on from SouthSide and then I knew even more I had to serve the Lord so I could see you both again someday!!

We are so sorry to hear about Sherry's brother, our heartfelt sympathy's are with you all. We will be in prayer for you all, just reading your comments when going through something difficult reminds me what an awesome man of God you are.

With hair, without, you are still the same handsome Pastor Eric and I thank God for you. Sherry you look beautiful and the same as when you left 25 years ago!

Love to you all, you will be in our prayers.

Hey Pastor! I've gotta tell you - it's a good look. My mom sent me a picture of her new 'do as well and you guys should just start a no-hair metal band. I'll press your first record!

I love and miss you all and you're in my prayers.

Pastor: Just remember the Lord still knows the number of hairs on your head, even tho' they are hard to really see right now! ha ha
In actuality, it simply means. . He is aware of what you are going through and He is keeping close tabs on your situation. We are Michael's parents, Sharon and Roger Raines, we are praying for you too!

Dear Pastor - I have a computer at home now and went to check the calendar. I was very surprised about the challenges you have been "temporarily" experiencing. I had NO idea.... I KNOW the Lord has a purpose for allowing this, and I believe it will ultimately be a testimony of HIS faithfulness that you and your family will be able to share with others for many more years. I have ALWAYS trusted you as being a very special man of God, and you have been very influential in my receiving the WORD through the passionate, sincere, and knowledgeable delivery of your sermons. I have not gone to any church since the last time I was at Sunset Chapel (almost a year ago). Sunset Chapel will always be my church, as long as you are there. I work weekends, but I'm working on finding a way to attend on Sundays. However, I have kept my personal relationship with Jesus Christ strong and have grown spiritually a lot (still, not enough). My prayers are with you and your family, and I WILL see you soon..... Love in Christ, Carrie Corral

Eric,

I think you look great bald. You and Sherry look like you did the last time I saw you with the exception of your hair being gone. I am praying for you both on a daily basis and miss you both tremendously. I love you so much! You both made a last impression on my life and I thank God that a wonderful young couple just getting started in the ministry choose to move to Memphis, TN to take on their very first youth group. If it wasn't for you, your teachings and being so dedicated, I might not be where I am today and for that I thank you and God. I will always love you guys and you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Love you bunches,
Terry in Tennessee

Even absent the hair and without Sherry, I'd still recognize you. Of course, Sherry looks the same as she did in 1981.

I was talking to Sharon Tipton Mabrey the other night and she said that you had a web site, but didn't the address.

Thanks to Google I found it.
