THURSDSAY'S UPDATE

Hello my friends. Today has been a little stressful. Pastor had a rough day. He has had to go back on morphine and is not taking any meds by mouth. Hopefully tomorrow he will get to start the process of meds by mouth again and then we will start to look forward to bringing him home. He is resting well and has not been in pain. I thank you for all your prayers and I know that God is going to give us a miracle. You have really blessed us by your blogging. We read the blogs on Pastor's phone at the hospital. He really gets excited to hear from you. It has been great having the kids with me. Rob came in tonight to be with him. The three boys together is crazy fun for all of us. I will keep you up to date. "I know the plans I have for you". Jer. 29:11 God's plan will get us through. I love you all and Pastor loves you. Sherry

Pastor Olsen,
Just to tell you that my wife and I love you and had a great time last year in Hawai during dinner times.
Our Lord knows our times and has good plans for us. Everything is in his hands and nothing is hidden from him. He knows our beginnings as we were made by him. Whom should I be afraid? Nor from sickness nor from disease; nothing can take us away from his presence. I will then rejoice in the Lord and in his salvation forever. God Bless his good servant.

Thank you Sherry for keeping us updated. I know that during a time like this that has to be the last think on your mind, but thank you so much. There hasn't been a moment go by that I don't think of Pastor Eric and look to see how things are going. You have always been and continue to be a remarkable woman! As always, I love you both so much and will be continuing to pray for a miracle.

Love & Prayers,

We're so glad that he hasn't been in too much pain. He's been on our hearts and prayers constantly. You all mean so much to us. Eric was one of Jamey's closest friends when we got married in BA, and even though the years in SC were difficult, we look on that now as a real turning point in our ministry. We're leaving today for a vacation in Charleston with Jamey's family, but we will keep in contact. We will definitely be praying! BTW, Jamey e-mailed Eric earlier this week at his church e-mail. Love you all!! Lisa & Jamey

Sherry,

Thanks for the update. It means so much to those of us that are far away and feeling the frustration of not being there to help. Praying for you today my long time friend...

Lord, please give this family strength, comfort, and the gift of your presence in that hospital room today. Let everyone who goes in or out of the room feel it and know it is you. Give them a supernatural miracle today we pray. Amen

Ah Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.

I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

I know He is rejoicing over Eric today. You remain in my thoughts and prayers throughout the day and at night. Know that many are standing with you today. We love you.

Pastor Olson:
I just need you to know that you made a difference in my life. I will explain how.
When I started going to Sunset Chapel..I wasn't feeling so welcomed and had decided that I should look for another place of wordship, that is until you came along. You made a point of knowing my name and that little detail made the difference in me. I saw in your eyes the kindness and I saw that you are such a great person! So thank you for making the difference in my life!
I love you and Sherry.
God Bless.......Carmen Rosado,Niko & Alexis.

Eric, and Sherry,

Sherry thanks for the update, I am always waiting to hear more news.
I am glad to hear that he is not in any pain and I hope he does get to go home soon, that in itself will make him feel better.

I am still holding out for that miracle and still refuse to believe that God is through with Eric in this life. There are still way to many lives to touch and souls to win, (even though You and Eric have more than done your part, think of the mansion you will have when you do get to heaven)!

Continuing to pray and trust God for whatever He has in store for each of you.

Click on my name or picture and see the blog that I started about you and Eric. See some of the pictures from when you were at Rugby Park Assembly and give Eric a good laugh. Your kids might like to see these as well.

I love you guys soooooooooo MUCH!
Keep the updates coming!

Love always and forever,
Terry

Hello old friends. I was very surprised to get the difficult news via email today. You were my youth pastors in St Louis at South Side A/G many years ago. I have been in the ministry for many years My wife and I are Christian recording artist and working evangelist. We currently reside in Florida. I want you to know that your ministry had a profound effect on my life. I remember the first "youth Week".(I think my band played one of the nights) What a fun time that was. You are people of God whom I have much respect for. God has taken me across the U.S. and into three foreign countries. The seed you planted in me has grown and many wonderful things have happened. Many saved, healed, and delivered!!! God is a truly awesome God. Whether you remember me or not doesn't matter. I just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you and that your ministry highly effected my life!!! Many Blessings!!! Rev. Kevin Daniels My email is 2voices@earthlink.net and our web site is www.Touchedministry@org

Dear Sherry and Pastor Olsen; I know this is a very difficult time for all of you, I have a lot of faith that the Lord above is watching down on Pastor Olsen, and saying he will get through this! Sherry like you said we have to think of it like Joshua in the bible. Please let me know if I can help you with anything in our office or at the hospital.

Love you both,

Dearest Olsen family,

We are remembering you during this time. Pator Eric has been such an encouragement to us over the years! His faithfulness has strengthened our faith as we labor for the Lord in the inner-cities! Our prayers and hopes are with you all as you brave these storms. May God's rich mercy and compassion fill your hearts daily. You have invested in so many...you have spent your time populating heaven and plundering hell...To God be all of the Glory!

Your fellow soldiers on the front lines...

Dear Pastor Olsen and Sherry,

I just came from church and we sang this song from Psalm 16: The Path of Life:

You will show me the path of life, the delights that await me in your presence. Without You there is nothing, no joy can be complete until at last I sit by Your side.

Have a beautiful Sunday and week ahead. You are always in my prayers. May God be with you and your family and bless you always.
Love and prayers,

Pastor, Sherry and Kristen,

We wanted to tell you how much you all have touched our family. From prayers to the hospital calls, you each have had a special place in some difficult times in our lives. One thing I know, you all made sure we stuck through it and knew that God had a plan. We now extend our love and thankfulness to you, for giving of your time to help us through it. Please know that we on this end are sending out our prayers to have Pastor see his victory. We are standing in the gap for all of you.
We love you,
Armando, Janet, Jessica and Christian Garcia.

Pastor,
My Dad moved down and immediatly starting looking for a church. Searching and searching...then God led him to Sunset Chapel. Jose and I were going to a church by our house(it was ok) and my Dad kept saying come down here spend a Sunday with me. Finally we said ok. We walked into a bubble of warmth. We worshipped, grooving along, liking what was around us and then Pastor from the moment you opened your mouth we knew we were home. Yes I know, you've told me before Pastor, it's not you it's God through you, you are just his instrument. What an amazing instrument you are.
We are at a loss. We don't understand. We are so angry and to make it even worse there is no one to point the finger at. How do you be angry at God's plan? The sadness is undescribable. It is consuming. My desire to fix it for you and your family is unmeasurable. I can't for the life of me imagine what it is like on your end. And yet through it all, there you stand a pillar of faith, an example of unwaivering faith like nothing I have ever seen.
It is because of the example you are and the strength of the Lord that you have instilled in us and taught us to use in our fight Pastor, through all of this that we don't understand we are able to pray without ceasing, continue to share God's word, hold on to God's grace and firmly stand in the gap for you, our beloved Pastor, and your family.
We love you
Jose and Jennifer
