Missed you Sunday

Well a lot has happened since our last blog. I have chemo on Tuesday's and it is very hard on my system. I also have radiation Monday through Friday. Up to now it has not made me miss a Sunday, but when I got up this morning and getting ready to take a shower I began to violently vomit. I don't understand it but Sunday's seem to be the worst. I noticed my wife getting upset, and I said "Honey, I can't help it", at which she replied that "she was just mad at the devil"! I knew what she meant. So I am asking everyone to pray next Saturday for Sunday, because I have a message and I believe God wants me to preach it. I love each and everyone of you and ask for your continued prayer. When this journey began we didn't expect it to be a walk in the park. We constantly feel your support and never feel that we are alone. We are looking at having a cat-scan pretty soon to see how we are looking - but we are looking to the Lord. Thank-You for everything! Pastor Olsen

Thank you again for an update, always looking for it. You are in my thoughts daily and my prayers several times a day! When I started ready the first part of your blog, I had the same thought as Sherry. The devil is trying so hard, but our God is still on the throne! I am thanking God daily not only for the blessing of you, but your complete and total healing. Love you guys so much!

Eric and Sherry,

I will be praying for more Sat. than I usually do, but know that you are in my prayers and thoughts daily. Sherry is correct in being mad at the devil for he is the one doing this to you, not God. But God is still God and he is still in control and the one who can and will change the course of our lives as well as the paths we go down...... And He is THE ONE WHO CAN AND WILL HEAL YOU.
I love you and Sherry and wish and pray for the best of everything for you and your family. Like I said earlier your in my thoughts daily and sometimes several times a day and some days your on my mind all day, I can't think of anything else.
Take care of yourself, know that if not there with you physically that there are many people there with you in thoughts, spirit and prayer. And we all love you very much.
Love always,
Terry

Pastor,
Nancy and I were also out of town this Sunday and may miss the following two Sundays because of travel. Know that we are praying for you and Sherry every day and that we are trusting in the Lord for a miracle, claiming His Word over you.

You are an inspiration to me and knowing you has changed my life. I am certain that many could say the same as you have impacted numerous families and lives, and we are all better for it.

No matter the timing, someday we will meet in heaven again and I will be able to find you by looking for the man with the very short neck. A short neck because of the weight of the crown the Lord will give you upon arrival.

God Bless You,

Manny

Eric, I'm mad with Sherry! I hate that you have to go through this but am so proud of the example you are setting for all of us. You are looking to the perfect example and following Him. I don't think it is any accident that you get sick on Sunday. Well, we know now to all be praying on Saturdays from now on. We love you and are standing firm with you.

In times of suffering, then pursue your course “looking unto Jesus” the perfect example of patience and in the presence of Gethsemane and Calvary your sufferings will appear slight, and the calm face of the supreme sufferer will impart patience and power to you. In seasons of despondency, when faith is weak and your spirit sinks, look unto Jesus and the trust which he exercised and the destiny he attained and let the bright example brace your heart with courage. In times of exhaustion and weariness, when you faint because of the duties and difficulties, look up to Jesus and his example will raise and strengthen your powerless hands, and nerve your whole frame with new energy. And in temptation look to him who resisted unto blood, striving against sin and did not yield in the conflict. Give no place to the tempter. Let this be our attitude “looking unto Jesus”, let our eyes be FIXED on Him as our pattern and helper—so shall we finish our course with joy and “receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.”

We missed you too Pastor, there is always a big gap when you are not there, but Missy is doing a great job, find comfort in that. We are standing with you and feel your struggles to some extent, although no one ever knows just how it is until you go through something like this. We love you and are still believing for a miracle. Jorge and I haven't been at Sunset long but we can see what a strong church you have formed. Be blessed in knowing that. We pray for your healing, we pray for your pain, we pray for your peace!

We love you Pastor and Sherry.
