Pastor's Service

Yesterday was a bitter sweet day. Pastors service was all he wanted and more. In fact it was just like him. We were so touched by your kind words, great food, people hugging us and the beautiful flowers and cards. We are all numb and are not sure what will come next but we do know that God will carry us through. Pastor's service was taped and I am not sure when it will go on the web. We love you and thank you for for loving us. I am on my way to Texas today. God bless you. Love Sherry

beSherry,
I am so sorry I wasn't able to be there but Jorge told me all about it and said he was so grateful he was able to go. He said everything was PERFECT. Although we know Pastor is in the glory of heaven and there is comfort in that, it is a sad time. I am so glad that my family and I were able to get to know Pastor even though it was for such a short time. We are grateful for that. He will be missed his smile and kind words.

The one thing that stands out in our minds is when we first started going to Sunset, I think we had only been there for a couple of months and we were taking Pastors class on Wednesdays. One Wednesday Jorge told him that we wouldn't be able to attend the following Wed. because we were having some problems with our roof. Pastor instantly told Jorge, "hey Jorge if you need any help with that let me know I've done some roof work and I can help you." At the end of the class he again told Jorge that he would help him. Both Jorge and I were like "wow" this guy is different. We love you Sherry and are praying for your strength, comfort and direction in Him.

Sherry, like Evelyn said, the services were perfect, and there was a peace that was there that could only be God. You're family is beautiful, inside and out. I know you are so proud them, and they of you. There is nothing more that we want for our families than for them to know the Lord. You have that. God Bless you and Pastor for the beautiful, God loving family you have raised. The Heaven book was so profoundly perfect for the occasion. I went right home and read the whole thing, picturing Pastor and my loved ones while I read through it. It gave me a beautiful picture in my mind and heart, and am comforted knowing that Pastor is up there with Jesus and so many loved ones looking down on us, in perfect bliss. Our family loves you and are consistently lifting you and yours up in prayer. God Speed in your travels today. Much love, The Rowseys

Sherry,

We have been praying for you and your children and will continue to do so in the days and weeks to come. I so wanted to be able to be there to deliver my sympathies personally. I really appreciate the fact that you will share Pastor Eric's service with those of us who could not be there. Your love and kindness never ends. I love you and pray that you feel that love, especially during these most difficult days.

All my love,

Hi Sherry,
We regret not being able to attend the service yesterday, but we also heard that the service was beautiful. We are so glad that the service was taped and that we’ll be able to see it. Thank you.

Like Evelyn, we are also glad that we were able to have been under Pastor and your leadership. We praise God for the opportunity of being at Sunset Chapel at this time, even though it was short. We rejoice that Pastor has done his work here on earth and is now receiving his rewards in heaven, but we are also saddened that he is no longer with us.

We will continue praying for you and your beautiful family that God has given you, for His strength, comfort, peace and joy. Like the Rowseys have said, you must be so proud of your children and that by the grace of God, you and Pastor have brought them up to be in God’s army, all in the ministry and with a beautiful legacy, Praise God!

May God be with you and bless you richly in everything He has in store for you and your family. We love you very much and thank you for all you have done for us and the impact you have had in our lives.

Sherry,

I am so sorry that I couldn't be there with you. I know that Eric is in a much better and happier place now, with no pain or suffering. WOW! I can only imagine what his mansion must look like! It has to be huge and total AWESOME, he worked hard for it and deserves it. I can't wait to see it someday.

I love you, you both have touched so many lives and I was one of them. I can't thank you enough or God for sending you into my life so many years ago.

Take of yourself, if you need anything or I can do anything you let me know. Hope to see you sometime soon..... And if your ever in TN or up this way, give me a call.

I love you so very much,
Terry Forbes

Miss Sherry and the entire Sunset Family,
Pastor Olsen was like a father to me in love, in teaching, and in mentorship. He was more than just a pastor. To so many of us he filled so many needs and ultimately I believe that he taught us how to live in Christ on our own. His mission was to train us to seek out the truth and share what we learned with others.
I will always miss him, but I am encouraged in the thought that my mentor, pastor, and friend is with Christ enjoying the reward he so passionately lived for.
I love you and the Sunset family and am sorry that I couldn't attend any of the services. If there is ever anything I can do, please do not hesitate to ask.

In love,
Mike Foster
