Update From Sherry

I thought I would give you an update on Eric's progress. He had his chemo for three days last week. This chemo is one of the worst. It has had its effects on him. He has been really tired but the worst has been the pain that it has created due to the decrease in bone marrow. He has kept his spirits up but his physical has been down. We know that God is in control and this to will pass. We are praying that his blood counts come up and for a good week. He will have chemo again on Feb. 11, 12, and 13. Thank you for loving us and most of all for your continued prayers. We really feel the results of your prayers. Love you all, Sherry

Sherry,
Thanks so much for the update. I've been checking several times a day to see how he is doing. Give Eric a hug from us. We love you and are praying for you all. I wish we could take the burden and carry it for awhile for you. You are fighting the good fight of faith and teaching us how to do that. I remember so well our roller coaster of emotions and pain as Becky struggled for life over 26 years ago and you both walked through that with us. I wish we could be there to walk through this with you. Back then God gave me this verse in Isaiah and it was my life line to keep me focused and sane! I pray it now for you as you are walking through the fires and through the water.
When you pass the through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43:2
Love,
Cathy and Joe

Hi Pastor and Sherry:
I am Pastor Mike Raines's Mother.
We are in prayer for you and your family. We also put a request in at our church!

This is one of those times where we see the footsteps in the sand.
We do not know the whys, but we know that HE IS carrying and will CARRY you and your family through this trial. Psalm 23 Yea, though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Shadows can't hurt us! Let not your faith waver, God is able to bring you through this victoriously!

Sherry,

Thank you for the update! I try to check daily for an update on Eric and am disappointed when I don't find one. I hate to hear that he feels so bad. Ask his doctor about some medicine to help increase his blood count, I can't think of the name of it right now, but I know that there is some out there, if they haven't already given him some. I wish I could be there with you guys to help you through all of this. But you have the best helper in the world - God. He can do any and all things and I know He is there holding your hands through all of this. Continue to look to Him and the heavens for your help, strength and support for He will give it to you.

I love you both, and i'm praying for you daily. Sherry please take extra good care of yourself, for this can bring you down quickly if you don't. Sickness is always just as hard on the family members as it is on the patient. You have to stay strong for Eric and the kids as well as your self. Maybe someone can give you some breaks periodically, if they're not already, so that you can have some time for yourself.

I love you so much.....Tell Eric I love him and if you need anything, just give me a call.

All my love always,
Terry Forbes
(your 1st trial and tribulation from Rugby Park Assembly of God)

I love you guys and will never, never forget what you taught me. I am who I am b/c of your teachings, love and dedication to God and b/c of God and His love for me.

Hi, Sherry!
We, too, have been checking for updates wondering how he was doing. We hate to bother you, knowing your plate is full, but Eric (and all of you) has definitely been in our hearts and prayers. With much love - Lisa & Jamey

Just wanting you to know that we are still praying and love you all. I check back each day, sometimes numerous times a day, for updates. I know He's an on time God and He's still on the throne, so my prayers will not cease. Tell Pastor Eric I love him and am praying!
