Update from Doctor

I keep getting so many responses as to how many look to the update page that I am wanting to be a little more pro-active as to keeping everyone updated. Sherry and I just got back from the doctor to see how my blood counts were doing and to check out the results from the Cat-Scan last week. Well, as expected the blood counts are dropping, which simply means I get tired and have to watch being around very many people - especially sick ones!! He said that the Cat-Scan showed that the original tumor was doing good - still somewhat dormant. That some of the bone concerns actually looked better, but that some of the Lymph nodes looked larger, but that could be that they are reacting to the Chemo as if they are injured. I have had one of my best weeks since last Thursday with minimal pain and a touch of normalcy. The doctor said if the Lymph-nodes would have actually been growing that I would have been in more pain - not less. I believe God is doing a work!!! So many people praying, qouting scriptures, and believeing with us. I am amazed at the people I am hearing from - some from 20+ years ago! My next set of Chemo is set for March 3,4,5th - so be praying, because then we return to M.D. Anderson. As I preached this past Sunday - a little crumb from His table is enough to do the work!!! We Love You!! Pastor

Eric, We continue to pray for you each day knowing we serve an awesome God!! Dad continues to ask about you and is praying also. You and Sherry are a big part of who I am today. For all the years you sacrificed time and family for the youth at SouthSide, "Thank You."

Pastor Eric,

Thanks again for the update. I'm always checking. Glad to hear you had a little bit better week. I'm always amazed to read the blogs from people all over the place that you have touched. You and Sherry have been very busy and have a wonderful ministry! I'm glad God blessed me by allowing you to have been a part of my life. Many things you taught me that you probably thought went in one ear and out the other, really stuck. I use those things in raising my children today! My life has certainly been better from having your influence in it! I love you both, will continue to be praying. Stay strong!

Thanks for doing the updates - I know when you don't feel well it is probably the last thing you want to do. But, especially for those of us that live so far away it lets us feel connected. I check on you everyday and sometimes several times a day if it has been awhile since an update!

I smile as I sit here and remember so many good times in St. Louis raising our kids together and Youth Weeks at South Side and our wonderful trips. I don't know what we would have done without you when Becky was born. I think all of us St. Louis folks need to plan a reunion and come to visit and all show up one Sunday at church!

We love you and join with so many you have touched through the years to pray for you daily. You have taught us much. Give Sherry a hug from us!

Thanks for the update. We continue to pray here too. I was at my cousin Danny Ross' church last Sunday and requested prayer for you there too. You may recall my cousin, Danny Ross. He attended Parkton Assembly of God when you were at Southside and he recalls your influence on his life. He is senior pastor at a church outside of St. Louis now.

Eric and Sherry,

Still praying for you and believing that our Lord and God is so much bigger than anything you are going through. Remember the stripes that He took to His back for our healing, for your healing. Jesus performed all sorts of miracles back in His day, so what is so different today? Isn't He the same as He was back then? Or is it that now days there just are not enough people really trusting and believing? He said He would do it if we would just ask and believe. We need to take a stand against satan RIGHT NOW!~ Demand that he take his hands off of you and believe that God WILL HEAL YOUR BODY and I believe that this healing is already taking place. I thank God for the work He is doing in your body and I PRAISE Him for it. BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED!!!!!!!! Praise HIs holy name. BY HIS Stripes YOU ARE HEALED in the name of Jesus!!!!! Bring this to His rememberance. Remind Him daily of His promises to you. And I will do the same as I pray for you, Sherry, the kids, grandchildren and the rest of your and Sherry's family daily.

I love you guys! And, I can't wait to see you. Let me know as soon as you get back home at the end of March! I look forward to coming to see you and can't wait.

All my love always,
Terry

Eric and Sherry,

I am sorry to hear what you are going through, but we like you know that we have a healing God.
We enjoyed the time that you were in St. Louis. Youth ministry was so much fun with you. I love the hotseat!!! You were always secial to our family. Steve and Kevin loved being left on a float trip and in Springfield MO. After being a youth sponsor for so many years I understand why you left them. Just kidding!!! We will keep you in our prayers and put you on our church prayer list as well. We love you guys!!!

Thanks for the update. So glad to hear you had a good week last week. We are a long ways away from you guys and sometimes I feel like calling to talk to you and see how you are doing, but you are probably bombarded with calls. So for now I will check this blog and continue to pray for you, Sherry and the kids. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. D'Ann and Dave
